2009 Old Town Criterium

Saturday Aug 29th, 2009 - Racing starts at 12:30pm


Start and Finish

The start / finish line will be in front of the Hagerty Insurance building. The racers will stage in the parking lot. The finish line will be on Cass Street in front of the Firefly Restaurant.

Race-side Viewing

Available in front of the Fire Fly lounge at the start/finish line, in front of the Hagerty Insurance Building, and anywhere along the race route.

Kids Fun Ride

The Kids Fun Ride is a blast for both adults and children. The event starts at 3:15 pm and offers children a healthy way to have fun and promote cycling for future racers. Kids Fun Ride registration is free, kids must be registered by 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 29th.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet Pick-Up will be in front of Hagerty Insurance, 141 River’s Edge Drive (Corner of Cass Rd and Lake St.)

 

Registration

Registration opens at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 29th. We encourage all racers to pre-register on-line, or by mailing in your registration (last page of this flyer). “Day-of” critierium registration will be allowed up until 2 HOURS before your race. Road Race Registration will be open until 4:30 pm on Saturday, August 29th. Please note, there will be no “Day-of“ registration for the Road Race.

 

Commuter Classic Relay

Get your commuter bike, bring it to the race and have a blast. 4 person relay, winner brings home a great prize. More info comming soon, check the web site! (Limited to 15 teams)

Michigan Points Series

The 2010 Cherry Roubaix will be part of the Michigan Challenge Race Series, in which riders receive points based upon their finish in a number of events around the state. Series races typically draw more highly-skilled cyclists.
