Cherry-Roubaix - The 1st Annual Old Town Crit Presented by Garan, Lucow, Miller, P.C. - Full service law firm.

2009 Road Race

Sunday Aug 30th, 2009 - Racing starts at 8:35 am

The toughest road race in the state?

The Cherry-Roubaix Road Race will be held Sunday, August 30th, 2009, near Cedar, Michigan - home of the famous Cedar Polka Fest since 1981.

This route is the same gear-shifting, lung-splitting, quad-burning 12-mile course used for the late 80s Michigan State Road Race. The start/finish line is high atop Sugarloaf Resort, ensuring spectators a spectacular view of the race.

The hills and turns on the course are unforgettable and challenging. Prepare to meet the legendary rollers of Schomberg Road, a KOM (King of the Mountain) at the crest of Narlock Road and a massive climb back to the sprint finish at Sugarloaf Resort. If you dare take a chance to look up from your bike, you just might catch a glimpse of Holy Rosary Church nestled on a hilltop corner (say a prayer), lush vineyards, or the deep blue waters of Lake Michigan. It very well could be the ride of your life!
